Your 3 days in Bangkok, day by day

Day 1 — Royal Old Town

Morning: Grand Palace and Wat Phra Kaew at 8:30 opening, then Wat Pho’s reclining Buddha

Afternoon: Cross the river to Wat Arun; ferry-hop the Chao Phraya

Evening: Sunset drinks at a riverfront rooftop, dinner in Chinatown (Yaowarat)

Day 2 — Modern Bangkok

Morning: Jim Thompson House and canal-side Baan Krua silk weavers

Afternoon: Siam area malls and the Erawan Shrine; BTS ride for the sheer theatre of it

Evening: Mahanakhon SkyWalk at sunset, rooftop bar in Silom, late-night street food

Day 3 — Markets & Local Life

Morning: Chatuchak Weekend Market (Sat–Sun) or Pak Khlong flower market

Afternoon: Longtail boat through Thonburi’s khlong canals

Evening: Asiatique riverfront night market or a Muay Thai fight at Rajadamnern Stadium
