Editorial policy
AmazingAsia guides are researched first-hand, fact-checked against at least two sources, re-verified every quarter and corrected publicly. Venues can never pay for inclusion or better placement.
Sourcing standards
Every AmazingAsia guide is built from first-hand visits, interviews with local businesses and guides, official tourism-board and government data, and licensed datasets. Prices and opening hours are checked against at least two sources before publication.
Update cycle
Each page displays a "last reviewed" date. Volatile details (prices, hours, transport) are re-verified every quarter; full guides are re-walked at least once per year. When a venue closes or a price changes materially, we update the page and its structured data the same week.
Independence
Venues cannot pay for inclusion or placement in our guides. If we ever accept a hosted visit, the resulting content is labelled. Affiliate links, where present, never influence rankings and are disclosed on the page.
Corrections
Errors are corrected as soon as they are verified, with a note on the page when the correction changes a recommendation. To report an error, contact the editorial team via the details on our about page.
Frequently asked questions
How often is each guide fact-checked?
Volatile details — prices, opening hours and transport — are re-verified every quarter against at least two sources. Full guides are re-walked on the ground at least once a year, and every page displays its last review date.
How do I report an error in a guide?
Report errors via the contact details on the about page. Verified corrections are published as soon as possible, and when a correction changes a recommendation a note is added to the page.
Do venues pay for inclusion or better rankings?
Never. Inclusion and ranking are editorial decisions only. Hosted visits, if ever accepted, are labelled on the page, and affiliate links are disclosed and never influence rankings.
