Arriving in Ubud

Nearest airport: Ngurah Rai / Denpasar (DPS) — 60–90 min to Ubud

From DPS airport, a Grab or pre-booked driver to Ubud costs Rp250,000–350,000 (60–90 minutes depending on traffic). There is no practical public bus; Kura-Kura shuttles run limited schedules for about Rp80,000.

Getting around Ubud

  • Central Ubud is walkable; everything beyond it needs wheels
  • Scooter rental (Rp75,000/day) is the local default — only with licence, insurance and confidence
  • Gojek/Grab bikes are cheap (Rp15,000–40,000) but banned from some central pickup zones
